Tanning, as a matter of fact, has prehistoric origins but finds its most exceptional expression today in Tuscany. For centuries, Tuscan master tanners have used artisanal and traditional techniques that have now evolved into a perfect blend of tradition and advanced technology.

True natural leather
A process in harmony with the environment and in total contrast to chrome tanning, which is a simpler and cheaper tanning method discovered at the end of the 1800s.
Almost 90% of the world’s leather production is chrome-tanned using a treatment of acids and salts. The end result allows producers to dye the leather in an infinite number of colors.
Production costs are highly competitive, and the final product has remarkable elasticity. However, the greatest disadvantage of chrome tanning is the tremendous environmental impact caused by the chemicals used in the process.
On the other hand, vegetable tanning has an almost negligible impact on the environment. Besides having an incredible scent and a natural look, it allows for the creation of products that improve with time and use.

As a matter of fact, even our sewing thread is premium. For every color choice, from black to any variation, we use only first-choice polyester yarns.
The polyester yarns used to sew our products are EN ISO 9001 certified—a certification synonymous with exceptional mechanical qualities: high tensile strength, excellent abrasion resistance, strong knot durability, and low liquid absorption.
In our laboratory, our skilled artisans use only water-based glue, which is highly resistant, 100% sustainable, and safe for operators.
